Mason wanted a red cake for his birthday this year. He also wanted to help make it. So, we made a homemade red velvet cake and it was so fun to watch him help mix and measure to make his own cake.
He decided that for opening presents we should play "hide and seek presents" which meant, we should hide them and he should seek them. He had a lot of fun trying to find them. It just took a lot longer than just opening them up. He is into Angry Birds, Super Mario brothers, and Toy Story this year. Paige got Mason an Angry Bird hat and fruit snacks. He was so excited.
He searched some more and for this Mario brothers shirt that Emma got for him. He also got a Cars tee shirt too, but we didn't get a pictures of it. They are his 2 favorite shirts to wear.
He found this awesome swimsuit set from Grandpa and Grandma Sanders. He loves that the swim trunks have a shirt and flip flops that go with them. He will be able to wear them for a few years at least.
Mason requested a Mario cake for his birthday. He was so excited to see how his cake turned out. It tasted so good.
Mason is learning so much and becoming such a happy, smart and talented 6 year old. He loves to read, loves school and enjoys riding the school bus. He likes to play on the computer and enjoys watching TV. He is learning daily how to use his hands to accomplish the things he wanted to do. Mason has gotten better at writing this year and does more coloring than he use to. He writes his name, but struggles. He will get better as he continues to practice.
We love this little boy, and love to watch his progress and grow. We look forward to seeing him continue to grow this next year.
