Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's

Right before Jodi left on her mission to Cleveland, Ohio, Aunt Amy, Ethan and Hannah came to visit Idaho from Tennessee for 3 weeks. We got to be there for 2 of those 3 weeks, and we had so much fun playing with cousins.  Although not all our fun was captured by camera, here are some shots we did get.

Everyone always enjoys a good story, but the cousins all loved it most when Emma was the story teller.  She did an awesome job.

Mason worked on some math and counted skittles, sorted them into colors then added  the different colors to see what they made.  He had so much fun doing this project.

On April 25, while hosing off Mason after playing in the dirt, Mom started a water fight, that really was one sided. All the kids found the other hose and after turning it on and realizing there was a sprinkler attached, the gave up getting Mom wet, and just played in the water. 

                            

But eventually they got the hose and turned on Mom, and each other.

At the end, they were all a bit cold, and all a lot wet, and completely happy.

The day before we left, Jodi has her mission farewell.  She had an open house at  Grandpa and Grandma Clausen's house that evening. Right before the open house started all the cousins we're outside playing when they happened upon this baby duck.  In Emma's Dad's line of work, she has learned to handle baby animals very gently and carefully, taking care not to hold them too tight or in weird ways that would hurt them.  She brought the baby duck into the house to show us, and to ask if she could keep it.  Upon learning that there was a flock of baby ducks that were across the street at the pond, Uncle Michael, Emma and her Dad attempted to take it back to it's family.  I say attempted because, after sending it back under the fence, it traveled a different direction than the family. After getting into the backyard, they couldn't find it. Mama's always have a way of finding their babies, so we trust that it's Mama found it and took it home.

We were all just glad that Emma picked it up, and not one of the younger boy cousins that may have squeezed it too hard or hung it upside down.
