All about a Monkey

Paige has a love for monkeys! Her birthday celebrations showed that. She was so fun to watch and crazy happy with the gifts she got. Her Grandpa and Grandma Sanders came for her b-day and the Primary Program with was the same weekend. We opened presents, ate cake and enjoyed playing with and watching the kids play.

I made a monkey cake for Paige. She picked out what she wanted, and then I looked for ideas with monkeys. Paige was so excited when she saw a monkey cake a little like this one. It turned out so great!
We got her some monkey footie pajamas and she was so excited to put them on and wear them. She also got a monkey shirt that she had to put on right away. She is so funny.

She got two books; That's not my monkey and another one that is a counting book that has monkeys in it. I can't remember the exact name of the book. She was so excited to get some books. We have read them plenty of times.

She got a monkey and a dog beanie baby from her friend Sam. She was so excited to see Sam that that would have been a good enough gift all within it's self. She loves Sam and we need to get a picture taken of the two of them.

Grandma and Grandpa Clausen sent her this cute monkey outfit. She calls it her Monkey jammas, even thought they are not pajamas. She likes how cozy they are and yet, they are still slightly big on her. She'll wear them for a while I am sure.

Grandma Sanders made Paige a fleece blanket with matching pillow case made out of Monkey fabric. She was so cute looking at the monkeys.

Then she opened her next gift from Grandpa and Grandma Sanders and it was a monkey pillowcase. She giggles a bit and then decided to play with the kids there and the things she got. She likes to carry it around the house and use her pillowcase with her babies. She also got a baby doll high chair that she loves playing with with her babies.

We finally got to cake time and she was ready. She sang Happy Birthday to herself along with everyone else and blew out her candles really well. She was happy.

She enjoyed every last bit of her cake and ice cream. It was so fun to celebrate this birthday with Paige. She is such a crazy, headstrong, happy 2 year old. Paige keeps us on our toes and keeps us running, but what would life be if we didn't run, right?
