Being Patriotic has it ups, and this last week, it also presented its downs. Thursday, 9/11, I went out early in the morning to put up our flag (something Shawn usually does, but he was not here, so I attempted.) I took out our little step stool, check to make sure it was sturdy and started my climb. Next thing I knew, the stool started shaking, and before I knew it I was falling down. In all my attempts to not fall on my growing belly, I have no idea how I really fell. I hurt my right calf pretty bad, and caused pain to areas on my body that should not be mentioned. I put the stool back up checked it again, and yes, I tried to get that flag up again! Darn for being a short person.
Success! The flag is up, and I didn't fall, again.
In the house, I accessed the damage done, and decided I should take it easy. I didn't go to water aerobic, nor did I chase my poor kiddos out side. We stayed in all day, and I took it really easy.
Friday morning, I woke up and started getting ready to head out for the day. I was sore. Who wouldn't be after a fall like I just had. After driving for 2 1/2 hours, shopping, walking, and trying to get done what I wanted to, I met Shawn at the Columbia River Washington Temple in Richland, WA. It was so nice to be in the temple!
On our way home from Richland, I experienced some pain that lasted about 2 minutes. The pain didn't come back the rest of the evening, but I was still somewhat concerned.
Saturday was another busy Saturday as always. I was still muscle sore, but other than that I felt fine. Saturday night I helped my sister can some peaches, and did some of mine, and than felt as if I could drop in bed. As I climbed into bed, that same pain came back that I experienced in the car, only this time, it happened a couple of times, and it lasted longer. I know this feeling wasn't contractions, and being so late, I went to bed. When I woke up this morning, I had that pain again. (thinking to my self now,"GO AWAY PAIN") I went to that bathroom, and there I had a spot of blood. "Looks like I am calling the Doctor now" I said to Shawn. Knowing that he is going to ask me to come in, I waited till 9am. Sure enough, I was told to go to labor and delivery.
So we were on our way. Okay, so I was monitored and had an ultrasound. The lady in the room next to us, was induced this morning, and the anesthesiologist even came in our room asking if we ordered an epidural. We said, NO, and I thought, "Oh that was nice to say". Everything looked normal. The directions from the Dr. was "If you start bleeding or the pain gets worse, come in or call me." I was happy our stay was only 2 hours, and we didn't leave with bad news. As we are leaving the Hospital Shawn says "well, it was kinda like a date. We got a sitter for the kids, (thanks Jackie) and we spent time together." I laughed. Oh what a date. Although, I don't think that anytime some one is messing with my bare belly, I would consider the event as a date.
So I won't climb on step stools the rest of my pregnancy. I am also going to start taking it a bit easier, but that should be easier now that my loving hubby is home, and can monitor me, tell me no, and stop my bad behavior:) All is well. I have to make it 5 weeks, and then anything can happen. So Happy:)

wow...i read your subject, and was going to be very upset if you had paige, and blogged about it instead of calling me!! Thankgoodness that everything is okay though. I'll keep ya'll in my prayers, and i'm sure everything will go the way it's supposed to! Keep it easy!
I'm glad everything worked out okay you crazy woman (climbing up on a sturdy step stool when that far pregnant makes me justified in calling you that!). Take it easy and take care of yourself already!
Be careful! Don't want anything bad to happen to you or your baby. Glad you are okay.
WAY to much excitement! Don't make me come out there! LOL!
