Mason had a review on Thursday, Sept. 18, and at that review, they decided that he was back to "normal" with his speech. This translates to mean, he is not going to school anymore, and no more speech therapy. We are so grateful for all those involved in his progress. He still doesn't communicate the way I would like, (more like Emma) but he is younger, and life at home is much less stressful! He will get to the point that we will understand everything he says, and he in turn will understand everything we say...as does every kid. It has been so fun for us to watch his learning and growing. Some things he enjoys more now than before:
- Wrestling with Emma, mostly sitting on her head.
- Singing "The Wheels on the Bus" and "ABC's"
- Hugging and Kissing anyone who will take one.
- building with blocks
- Reading books
- Counting
- coloring
- talking on the phone
- playing with other kids
- jumping
There is so much more, but this is the short list. I am so proud of Mason, for his willingness to learn, grow, and become a little boy taking in all the world has to offer him. He often will be found clapping his hands and saying "Yay Nana"! Which is currently how he refers to him self. He has found an interest in the potty, and has even used it a couple of times with help from Mom. When he sits on the potty and you ask him if he is going to go potty, he always responds with a "YES" and then he will say "all done. Yay Nana"! I can't believe how big he is and how much of a Baby he is not anymore. Sometimes it makes me sad to see my little boy all growing up and big, but I guess that is what happens to all the cute babies...they grow up and become kids:)

I didn't know he was having speech therapy? How old was he when he started? I keep wondering if we might need to do the same thing for Garrett since he had a rough start.
Being able to communicate is a blessing many of us take for granted. Great job Mason!!!
