Remodeling the kitchen can be a bit of a task. We have been so lucky to do this while the kids get to play at Grandma's house. They are having so much fun, they don't know what their missing out on! The prep work has been the biggest challenge. The cleaning, moving and taping all take A LOT of time. Heather painted cupboards white, on Friday. Saturday we went and did the rest of the shopping for all the new hardware, paint rollers, tape, counter tops, sink, faucet, and spent more than we had hoped to spend, but we also saved a little here and there. Here are some pictures of the progress we made last night. Normally we wouldn't have been painting on a Sunday night, but we are expecting rain tomorrow, and for me to paint, the windows have to be open with good ventilation. The Lord really blessed us, and I have some trim work to do above the laundry closet, but then it is on the the cupboard doors today. YEAH

Clean up time- it is now 11:25 pm, but we are done, and don't have much paint left over!So happy that this didn't take too much time.
Tomorrow we are ripping up the floor and examining the boards to see if a few need replacing. Then if not we will start on the new floor.
Thursday our home teacher is coming and hopefully we will get a lot done, so I can work on nothing but packing on Saturday! I will post more pictures as the work gets done. This way Emma can see what Dad and Mom are doing at home with out her!

Sweet! I was just wondering what all you've been doing with the kitchen & all - that is a lovely color, and how exciting to be able to just go "full steam ahead" on it! Have fun, and hope everything continues to go as well as it has! :-)
What a lot of work you've done already! In our experience, home improvement projects always take at least 20% more time, money, and effort than we predict. But they return 100% more satisfaction when they are done right? Good job. Can't wait to see the finished project.
