Emma's Birthday

Emma loves Chinese Food! In Moscow there is an all you can eat Buffet that is Chinese, and almost every time we are in the area she claims that she is hungry and needs to have Chinese!
For her Birthday Lunch, we thought that it would be so nice to have all of us go with her to lunch! Having Daddy with us was a very special treat! Usually Shawn has lunch lectures or afternoon labs that he has to be at, but on Emma's birthday, we had him to our selves all afternoon! We sure had some good fun!

Emma likes to eat the soft serve Ice Cream at the restaurant. Here she is thoroughly enjoying it! She tried to give Mason some Ice Cream, but he just shook his head no and kept eating his corn...he doesn't like Ice Cream.

After lunch, we went to East side Market Place, in Moscow. There is an indoor playground in the Market Place that the kids love to play at. All the toys are made of a soft material, and the floor has extra padding. It has an outdoor theme, and that makes it all the funner. There is a tree that has stairs up one side of the trunk, and hole in the center of the trunk to climb through, and a slide on the other side. At the bottom of the tree, there is a tunnel that little kids can climb through. The park is open for kids crawling age to 5. It is nice that we don't have to deal with big kids who run the little kids over on the play gyms. Here are a few pictures of our time there. We had the playground to our selves for 50 minutes.

Emma and Mason at the bear. Mason kept trying to kiss the bear. We finally got his attention on something else, and he stopped kissing things.

Emma thinks that this is how you canoe! Little does she know that if she did it this way in a real canoe, she would fall in the water.

Shawn was trying to build up Emma's confidence in climbing up to the bear by her self. At the end of play time she had it all figured out.

Astounding - she's only three, and she already knows the best places to eat are Chinese buffets! ;-)
