Laramie has a 4th of July celebration in the Park called America has a Birthday. All the business' and organizations around town get together and have booths set up with some kind of carnival game. We took our trusty spinning wheel that Shawn built for vet school and had all sorts of prizes on them. Next year, we'll do a few different things, but all in all it went well and it was the first year that one of the vet clinics had a booth.
After getting set up we ventured out in the park while the staff was at the booth manning it. I don't remember what group did the hula hoop contest, but Emma made it to the top 5 board while we were there. She hulaed for 3 minutes and 26 seconds.
Carter tried really hard too, but he wasn't very good. He was really good at smiling while doing it though.
We had a bunch of fun, and enjoyed spending some time as a family in the community.
This is Shawn's main staff. It's missing the girls who work in the kennels, but everyone else is here.
