A New (to Us) Car

When we had Carter, we realized quickly how small the van became. We now had no room to take anyone else anywhere because all the car seats took up all the seats. When my mom came to help us, we couldn't go anywhere together, and it was the same thing with Melina came to visit us. We'll we could go, but it meant Emma wasn't in her booster seat. We had been browsing for a while now (even before we had Carter) for a new car. We knew what we wanted and just had to convince ourselves that we could go back to making car payments again.
The Van we bought just a week before Emma was born. I felt so spoiled when we got it. It was only 3 years old and had 44000 miles on it. We have had it all through Vet school and it has taken us over the river and through the woods to Grandma's houses and through crazy snow storms and to new homes and everywhere in between. It has been a great car for our family, but we have out grown it. Our beloved family car started having some troubles with the transmission and there were little things here and there that we knew were going to add up to a lot of money in the long run. We knew we needed to get something bigger, and when I took the van in to get an alignment done on it and they told me it was time to replace the tires also, it just sped up the process of getting something new.

Yesterday,Friday March 30, 2012 Shawn had his first whole day off since we moved here. It was the last day of spring break and we decided to go and look at some cars we had looked at online. We hadn't decided that we were going to buy something, but we were ready if we found the right one.
We did. It was the first one we drove and we got a really good deal on it. The kids love that it had a built in DVD player. I love that it has duel heating controls and it rides nice. Shawn loves that it's not a van, and we have more room.
It is a 2007 Ford Expedition EL Eddie Bauer. It has more features that we wanted with was a plus and has 45000 miles on it. It will be a great vehicle for our family. It will be much nice packing to take on trips and not have to stack stuff around the kids feet to get everything in.
The rest of these pictures are for my dad. He wanted to see pictures and I didn't get the impression he just wanted to see the outside.

I'm sure looking forward to the years when we don't have a car seat in every seat.
