The UP house!

Very few times in your life can you actually experience something from a movie in real life. In Herriman UT, a building company went to Disney and asked for permission to recreate an actual UP house. They did an awesome job. There are some rooms in the movie that don't exist, but the builders did their best to create something that would have fit in with the rest of the house.

Carl even sits on the porch and greets guests as they come to see the home. Very different than in the movie and he is not grumpy at all.

When you open the door the stair case greets you. When you get to the top there is a white book case. But it's not just any white book case... it's a secret door to a balloon room, or kids play room, or storage. What ever you want to use the room for. They had it filled with balloons and the kids loved it.

To the right it takes you past the laundry room, and into the Master bedroom. when you enter the room, the master bath is on the right. The only picture we took was of the tub, but the shower and vanity were amazing. Totally my dream bath.

There is a small area for the bed, and I didn't notice another place to a bed in the room, so king sized beds would probably not fit in this room too well.

Carl had his ties hung on the wall next to their dresser.

As you exit the room the walk in closet in on the right, heading out of the room, on the left coming into the room.

Across from the Master bed, is the nursery. The painting on the wall matches the painting in the movie perfect.

There are pictures hanging on the wall along the staircase from the movie.

At the bottom of the staircase is the door, turn left and you enter the living room. It is exact!

After you leave the living room, you follow the hall to the kitchen, which I forgot to up load, so I'll post that next since I don't want to re arrange the pictures.

There is a staircase off the kitchen that leads to the basement, which wasn't in the movie, but was a nice addition. In the basement is 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a family room with a extra room you could use for another laundry room.

Done in a Disney theme, the boy room is painted like Andy's room from Toy Story.

Next to it is the girl princess room.

The bathroom is a normal looking basement bathroom, and the family room has a projector TV and was playing UP. The kids and McKinzey enjoyed this house very much. I think we all decided that it would be fun to own and live in this house, but just because they did a great job at making a movie house, a livable house too!
