The time passes so quickly these days, but it also stands still. The joyfulness, bossiness and playfulness of a 2 year old always helps time pass quickly to tick like its standing still...and that is where Paige comes into the picture. She has gained a lot of noticeable vocabulary. She talks in sentences, even if you don't understand every word, and then, she'll repeat herself over and over until we guess the word she is try to say so she knows we really understand her.
Paige is a girlie girl and a casual girl. She likes having her hair done pretty, and she is obsessed with "lipstick" or chap stick as we know it. She always wants to be putting on lotions or sanitizer, thinking it's lotion. Needless to say, we have lotion everywhere. She would wear makeup if we would let her. For Emma's birthday, she got a play salon kit, come with a comb, hair dryer, straightener and makeup accessories. Paige likes to play hair, but she always it finding someone else to use as her model.
She's quirky and full of life. She likes to dress herself these days. She chooses most of what she wears with the exception of when we will be in public. Then Mom finds something to match what she has chosen. Paige likes to play what ever Emma plays, so she has learned quickly to play make believe and act the part of who ever she is dresses as.
Paige loves to come up with these crazy looks to wear around the house. Her choice of clothing always brings a smile to our face and brings some laughter out.
Paige loves to shower with Shawn, as much as he loves that time with her. I am sure they will miss that time together when she gets older so at every opportunity, they take advantage of a morning shower together. Yesterday was no exception. They got in the shower to get cleaned up for Church, and I kept busy getting other things ready. I stepped into the bathroom and heard them talking and found myself sitting on the toilet seat smiling to myself. Paige was sitting on the shower floor. Shawn was squatted down next to her and she had a bath poof with soap on it in her hand. In a sing song tone she was saying to him "wash my body. wash my body." It was so cute. He was talking to her and her to him. He picked her up and put her up close to the shower head and started washing her body off and rinsed her hair as she was laughing. Right before she got out, he picked her up to peek over the top of the shower door. Her grin and happiness was so priceless. I couldn't believe who big she really was at the moment, and how small her little body really is.
Before she got put down for a nap, she was running from Mason's room to her room and smacked her cheek right on the door frame to her bedroom door. The bruise was instant. She swooped her up and loved her till better. This is what it looks like today.
And then again, today, getting ready to lay down for her nap, she was washing the table, and fell forehead first on to the kitchen floor. There is a bruise there also. I'm kinda wondering whats in store for tomorrow. She is such a joy to have in our family. She adds so much personality and everyone she knows just loves her.
