What a Birthday!

Shawn had an amazingly 4 day weekend for his Birthday. We had July 24th to get some things around the house done and later that evening, we left Paige and Mason home with a sitter and Shawn took Emma and I to the Spanish Fork Rodeo. This was Emma's first time at the Rodeo! Shawn got the be the Vet on call at the Rodeo Friday night and had been given 6 free tickets for the grandstands. It was great! Shawn's first companion on his mission Bryan, lives in Salt Lake and he came down to spend some time with us. Emma just loved the attention Bryan gave her and claimed he was her best friend all night. We had so much fun. Because Shawn was the vet on call that night, he had to stay for the slack time. They were done with everything around 12:40am! I can't believe that Emma stayed awake for the WHOLE thing!

One Saturday, July 25 we spent the afternoon at the Fiesta Days in Spanish Fork. They had a car show, a craft fair and a carnival. Emma and Mason were mostly excited about the carnival, but we found a few things that caught their attention. Paige sat back and enjoyed the ride, but as her nap time came upon us, she let us know. It was a hard afternoon for her. If she had her way, she would have been on the rides with Emma and Mason also.


The merry-go-round has got to be the most fave for both kids.

When we got home Emma and Mason frosted and decorated Daddy's cake. Mom helped a bit, but it was mostly done by the kids.

It was so fun to watch the kids try so hard to make it look so good. Emma kept saying that it just didn't look right! It was good cake!

Happy Birthday Shawn! Maybe a bit late getting posted, but we had a good time with you!

Don't worry, the kids and I got Shawn some tools, but Emma couldn't wait for Dad to open them, I didn't have the camera close.
