2 years ago the kids and I went to Seaside, Oregon. While there, we bought a horse kite for Emma with all the intentions of flying it on the beach. I don't remember why now, but we didn't end up flying it while there. We came home and showed Dad this great kite, and we were going to fly it at home...yet again, we didn't.
Now 2 years later, living in Utah with a fabulous park around the corner, we took an evening to go fly our kite.
First things first, Dad teaching kite flying 101 to Emma. She took it all in and promised to always remember it.
Now that the teaching part is done, and the student has learned, it is time to get some action! (It would have been nice if there was a little more wind.)
Ready, Set, Run!!!
She's got it down! She did this 3 more times!
Then Mason got a turn and he also took Kite Flying 101.
"Run to Mom! Run to Mom!" The only way to get Mason to know where to go!
In the meantime, Paige is all over the place enjoying the grass and the freedom of being outside with room to roam. I took some good pictures of her doing her thing and watching what was going on around her. This is my favorite.
