Laramie, Wyoming

We decided that going to the beach with the kids and my parents wasn't enough of a vacation and we wanted something more. So we woke up early Sunday morning, packed all our belongings, loaded the car, woke and fed Carter and headed to the Portland Airport, just Shawn, Carter and I. Ok, not really. At least the enough vacation part. Now we are on to the work part, just in a different way.
After we made it through security with our loot, and got redressed, we headed to find some breakfast and find out gate. I haven't flown since I've come home from my mission, and honestly, was a little bit nervous about it, but is could also have been nervous because we were taking Carter. Right before we took off I nursed Carter and he fell asleep and slept for the first 1 1/2 hours of our flight to Denver, CO.
When he woke up we played and ate some breakfast of applesauce. Just before we started our descent into Denver, we decided it was time to get him dressed and into clean pants. Boy, dressing and changing a squirmy boy is hard on an airplane.

We rented a car and drove north from Denver to Wyoming and on into Laramie. We got to Laramie around 4:30 pm. We were tired. What a long day.

The reason we were in Laramie, WY was to look at a clinic there that is for sale. It is everything Shawn has wanted in a clinic and provides the workload he desires. He spend 2 days, Monday and Tuesday morning at the clinic asking questions, looking at things and watching how they run things. Tuesday afternoon we went for a drive into the snowy range that borders Laramie. Albany, WY is much smaller than Albany, OR.

It was so beautiful driving the back dirt roads. We found a forest service lookout that you can actually rent and stay it. We thought that would be really fun, but carrying our gear with 4 kids up the ladder didn't sound like so much fun.
We went to Rob Roy Reservoir and found some really pretty rocks. Emma is a rock collector, so we took some home to her. It was so pretty here. And I would say the temperature is not much more different than that of the Oregon Coast.

We travel in style. Carter rode on the suit cases a few times. I'm sure he didn't know the difference.
We had a good flight home. Carter didn't sleep as long, but the plane was smaller and a lot more crowded. He did pretty good flying. An older couple came up to us at the airport after we landed and said our baby was so good they didn't even know he was on the flight.

We are still working on working our the kinks for purchasing the practice. We have moved back our move and are hoping things work out, but all we can do now is pray that funding works out and we can find a lender that will loan the amount that is needed. As of today, we are short some money.
