We were so lucky we all got a 3 day weekend this weekend. The kids has school off for teacher improvement or something like that, and it was Shawn's scheduled 3 day weekend... it just worked out great. We went to Salt Lake City to go to the Church History Museum to see the children's art from around the world. While there we also discovered they have a whole area dedicated to the primary kid in everyone. There is a little bit of just about everything from Scripture stories, to council from the Prophet to plant a garden. The girls got to put on skirts that are part of the dress of the traditional Mexican dance and they have full screen people dressed and teaching the dance moves to the children in the mirror. Emma and Paige didn't get the learn the dance idea, but they loved wearing the skirts.
Kiddy corner to the media center is Nephi's Ship. There are birds, fishing poles and magnetic fish to catch over the side of the ship and a place to help Nephi build the ship and put the planks on the side of the wall of the ship. Super fun can be had in the children's section of the Church History Museum.

That's neat! We'll have to take our kids there the next chance we get when we're in Utah. Looks fun!
Holy cow, what fun activities! Ditto to Deedra - we'll totally have to make a visit there next time we're in UT. That is really amazing!
