What a Mighty Fine Man!

Shawn has many talents. He really could have done anything for employment because his talents are many. He loves to work with his hands, and likes to built, fix and repair things himself. Our basement is no exception. Our first matter at hand is to finish the basement bathroom to have it ready when we start potty training Paige. She tells us she wants to do it now, but really we aren't so sure she knows what she's talking about. We know we only have so long before she really is and this is the first part of getting ready. We got the walls up a LONG time ago...like Mothers Day week of 2010...and we are just getting to it... The tub has been in and we've had some Sheetrock to hang, we just needed to make time...so that's what Shawn did. Mason, Emma, Paige and I all took our turns helping. Mason and Emma helped screw the screws in the wall, Paige and I helped hold the sheets in place. But really, Shawn is almost all the work himself. Shawn wired all the electrical, we now have lights in the hall and the bath. He's done a lot of research to learn how to do a lot of these things, but it's something we have never undertaken before, and we like to learn new things. The hall is half way there. All we need is to hang the other side of the wall and we are ready to tape and texture... Something Shawn isn't looking forward to doing, but I know it will look great none the less.
