Father's Day Fun!
We spent Fathers Day with Shawn's family. It was a good day. We had a BBQ, and some nice water time. We got a sprinkler that shoots water in the air and twists around so water is going everywhere. We set it up...
and when it was turned on no one but Corbin and Emma would play in it. Then some of the guys (and I don't know which ones) came up with the idea to put down a tarp and put the sprinkler on the tarp:
Yet when this was set up, it didn't change anything. So we unhooked to sprinkler and turned on the hose on the tarp and the smaller kiddos thought that was great. We hooked up the sprinkler to a different hose, and Corbin and Emma would play in it once in a while, but the water on the tarp was so much more fun.
Mason was a much happier camper with the tarp and water than the sprinkler, which I guess he will have to learn to love this summer if he is going to play in the water at our house this summer.
Darragen took control of the hose most of the time, until one of the older kids took it away and sprayed him. He didn't like that at all!
Silly little kids having fun.
So Shawn tried hard to explain to the kids how the slip and slide is suppose to work. Finally someone suggested that he just show them how. All wet he got and the kids LOVED it!
Then he helped a few of them "slip and slide",
Then he did some more sliding
and just before we called it good and went in for Fathers Day dessert, Grandma had to get Jason and Shawn to race down the tarp to see who would go farther and faster:
The winner: Shawn!

I remember having our slip and slide!! That was so much fun. All the kids look like they are having a blast...and the 'big' kids too!!
This looks like a BLAST!
